BI V2.0 and 3DMonstr, two new high-volume 3D printers 3D printers for the general public all have in common that they are limited to printing small objects, with a few exceptions such as gMax, which makes high-volume 3D printing possible.Today, no less than two 3D printers follow in Kickstarter's footsteps, the BI V2.0, a low-cost model and the 3DMonstr, which prints in several materials for larger budgets. The first has a volume of 300 mm x 300 mm (diameter x height) and the second 610 mm x 610 mm x 610 mm x 610 mm! The difference with the references in the consumer sector is significant since the Ultimaker 2 has a printing volume of 230 mm x 225 mm x 205 mm and the Replicator 2 285 mm x 153 mm x 155 mm.

Indeed, the BI V2.0 is capable of reaching a resolution of 50 microphones and a maximum printing speed of 175 mm/s with ABS, PLA or Nylon. Again, this is above what is currently being done in the market.
Also note the presence of a probe for automatic calibration as well as an LCD screen and a 4GB SD card making it autonomous. It is also ready to accommodate a second extruder to combine colours and materials. video presentationDetailed featuresIn terms of price, the basic model is available for less than 500 €! 3DMonstr 3D PrinterSource
What says large volume of printing means small footprint. However, the 3DMonstr printer consists of two parts (the frame and the printing bed) that can be easily dismantled for easy storage or transport. Also with this in mind, the printer has a level that allows the feet to be adjusted quickly to print on any type of media, even non-planar. 3DMonstr can also combine colours and materials by supporting up to 4 print heads with their own temperature control sensors.
ABS and PLA in different colours are obviously part of the mix, as well as HIPS (material resistant to very high temperatures), PVA (synthetic polymer soluble in hot water, practical for printing media) and Nylon, but it will also be able to print food (chocolate, icing, cheese, etc.).), silicone, clay or ceramic, a true multi-material 3D printer! As far as 3D printing performance is concerned, the 3DMonstr is also strong with a resolution of 40 microns at 110 mm/s!
Video presentationDetailed featuresThe 3DMonstr will be available in 3 variants (T-Rex-12, T-Rex-18 and T-Rex-24) including the following specifications:
The call price is $2,499 for the T-Rex-12, $3,499 for the T-Rex-18 and $4,490 for the T-Rex-24. 30 days remain for each of the two participatory fundraising campaigns, both of which are well underway.
