A 3D printed engine The guys at laserhacker.com have created an electric motor that requires no power supply, no batteries and no solar power. Its only electromotive force is drawn from the static electricity present in the ambient air through an antenna isolated from the Earth.This motor, entirely printed in 3D, with the exception of the drive shaft, bearings and aluminium tubes (which could be made with 3D metal printers), is lightweight and has a high moment of force unlike conventional electrostatic motors.

With this kind of project, perhaps one day the radio antennas of our future electric cars will be replaced by static electricity "sensors" and we will be able to do without expensive batteries (for purchase or rental).
In the meantime, I would like to see a reduced model based on this technology.
